Unique design offers an economical solution to the appearance of utility blockwork walls
Utility buildings, like schools, student halls, prison and hospitals, will often require their internal walls painted directly with no further plastering or finishing. If a steel or concrete lintel is chosen, there remains a problem of the discontinuous surface material between blockwork and lintel.
Our fair faced blockwork lintels completely hide the steelwork above all doors and windows, allowing either architectural blockwork or direct painting to achieve a pleasing render-less finish. In this approach, concrete facing blocks become the uniform wall surface and become extremely competitive to rendered or panelled wall surfaces, or can be painted directly.
The standard lintel is fabricated in 3mm steel; safe loadings are available here. This lintel style is also available in 4mm steel; safe loadings are available on request.
